Grand Rapids Boat Show Celebrates 65 Years
(Grand Rapids, Mich) – Nearly two dozen dealers, representing some 80 manufacturers of new fishing boats, pontoons, cruisers, ski boats, deck boats and runabouts, will be a part of the 65th Annual Grand Rapids Boat Show, February 17-21. Michigan’s longest-running boat show, which began in 1946, will showcase more than 300 new boats as well as personal watercraft, kayaks and other family-fun boats – set up in DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids.
“The 200,000 square-foot show floor – that’s nearly five acres – will be loaded with new boats, docks, lifts, electronics, accessories and so much more, giving attendees their once-a-year opportunity to compare styles, features and prices, side-by-side, under one roof,” says Henri Boucher, ShowSpan event producer. “This is and has always been a buying show, so patrons can expect to see some amazing pre-season deals.”
Show highlights include:
- The Huge Lagoon with Kayak Demos and the Big Air Wakeboard Show
- Appearances by legendary wakeboarder Parks Bonifay, Friday through Sunday. (Friday after-party at The B.O.B.)
- The largest manufacturer tube display of any boat show in the country plus a “Tube A Day” give-away
- An exhibit of vintage boats from the Water Wonderland Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society
- An exhibit by the Michigan Maritime Museum
- Marine electronics seminars, kayak seminars and a free Boating Safety Certification Class w/ Kent County Sheriff
- Don Middlebrook and his Living Soul band return to the Key West Crab Shack on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
- Win an ASA Certified four-day live-abroad sailing course or a one-day private sailing charter for up to six guests

Admission: $9 adults, $4 for children 6-14 and free for children 5 and under, when accompanied by an adult.
